Who We Are

The S Scale Workshop is comprised of several modellers from Ontario, Quebec, and the United States who work in S scale (1:64) standard gauge.

Most members have built modules to our own standard based on the (HO) Free-mo system. Each year, we exhibit our modular layout at a few train shows, conventions or other events, primarily in the Southern Ontario region.

The cast of characters:  Chris Abbott, Jamie Bothwell, David Clubine, Oliver Clubine, John Johnston, Andy Malette, Trevor Marshall, Jim Martin, Pete Moffett, Simon Parent and Paul Raham. (Bio pages will be posted as our members submit appropriate content.)

Some members of the group made the long trek to Wisconsin in 2011, where the S Scale Workshop's modular display was honoured with "Best in Show - Layouts" for the 2011 Trainfest in Milwaukee WI. The S Scale Workshop followed up with a "Best In Show - Layout" award in the group's first appearance at the 2013 Railroad Hobby Show in Springfield MA.

Articles about the group and our modules have appeared in both Railroad Model Craftsman and Canadian Railway Modeller magazines.

This blog has been started so that all of our members can share their progress, ideas, announcements, and often acerbic wit.
